I think it's the best one on the market
Pros: I can still say that this software still blocks and removes the bad stuff a lot better than any other software out there. I haven't really noticed a difference in CPU or memory usage like some have reported. Must have a superior machine (LOL). Spysweeper is cool because it lets you tell the system to adjust how much resources you want to use for a scan.

It's better. But I liked the previous UI better.
Pros: I really like the new keylogger shield - I didn't realize I had a keylogger on my system. My wife was freaking out...she's worried that someone has our account passwords now. We change most of them after we found the keylogger.
Cons:I like the interface for version 4.5 a little better than the new one. Oh well.

Does what it's supposed to...then some
Pros: What I really like about this stuff is that it tells you about spyware before it gets to your computer. IMO this is priceless.

Gets it done without much effort.
Pros: This is funny. I bought the software and ran a scan and it found spyware that MS AntiSpyware and Ad-Aware couldn't find or remove. ha ha ha ha, what's up with that Mr. Gates? Anyway, works great.
Cons: Had a little difficult time trying to figure out how to unblock things I want to allow on my machine. But I got it to work.

Must be the best I've used.
Pros: Very accurate and reliable with a great new user interface that keeps me wanting to use the tools.
Cons: Windows start up takes a little longer. Not sure if it's due to SS or not.

Non stop good times with this tool ;o) Really, it works!
Pros: Easy to install. Good program. Gives me peace of mind.

Very good download, Highly recommend.
Pros: Let me put it this way: Spy Sweeper takes wins first prize in the spyware removal world. I like it because it's very customizable and easy to use, even for my mom who I just set up with Spy Sweeper. The most important thing is that Spy Sweeper does it's job very well. Don't question it, just do it ;o)

Awesome!
Pros: I think Spysweeper is great - and I don't really get too excited about software, but this is different. The new interface is really nice. I am most please about the alert notice place up front. The new keylogger and improved rootkit detection is a good addition to an already good product. Webroots tools are the best when it comes to stopping and preventing spyware and adware (just read the awards). The newly added function to modify your CPU usage before and during scan is a great idea - wish it had happened sooner. I'm somewhat of a computer geek, so I've tried most anti-spyware products...this is the one to buy. Don't bother with free anti-spyware tools, you get what you pay for. The free Webroot Spy Sweeper trial is great to see how it works.

Wish I didn't have to...but spy sweeper is the one to use.
Pros: Here's the scoop. SpyBot and AdAware have seriously fallen behind in the anti-spyware game. I also submit that Windows Defender isn't nearly as useful/effective as Spy Sweeper. I've realized that Spy Sweeper is the best overall solution to spyware, but I do use others (please realize that no one product catches eveything). I'm very pleased with SpySweeper so far. Don't waste time with the free anti-spyware tools out there. You get what you pay for.
Cons: I like the older interface a little better. But I figured everything out. No worries.

Very Good, Awesome, Easy to Use
Pros: Webroot's Spy Sweeper 5 user interface is so much better compared to the previous versions, especially for a beginner. The shield tools that are included in the program prevent sophisticated spyware programs from installing on your PC - a great benefit, you don't have to worry as much. It's kind of like preventative medicine eh. Spy Sweeper also comes with a shield against keyloggers, a shield for computer startup, and it keeps your browser home page from being changed to something you don't want.
The new spy sweeper is updated every day (at least when there are new known threats) to keep your pc free of the newest spyware. When you pay for the full up version, you get all you need for removing anything bad from your system.
Cons: You have to pay to remove the threats. But the tool is very thorough. Well worth it!

Not the perfect solution, but the best available.
Pros:A few people have had problems with Spy Sweeper 5, but not me. It works very well on my computer. This program is still much better then 95% of the others programs out there.
I did a test and it looks like scanning is faster than on version 4.5.
I really like the new keylogger shield.
Cons: Wish it was faster...I need to get a new computer though. I only have 256MB of memory and very slow processor.

Excellent product!
Pros: So here you go...I have used Spy Sweeper for many years and I can say that it works very well. I've never had any problems worth mentioning. It may slow down your computer when it does it work, but you can configure the program to use less resources (a great feature). I usually schedule the program to run at night when I'm not using my PC. This way, it doesn't matter how long it takes to do a thorough job.
You should realize that if you want the software to run faster, and to have more safety features, your system needs to have more resources (ie. RAM and CPU). You should really have 1 GB minimum to run Antivirus, Anti-spyware and other applications when you're using Windows XP. Programs now-a-days are getting bigger and bigger to give you more useful features.
Cons:
I wish I could get Spy Sweeper to be configured via the web, so I could run the program on my machine while I'm out of town. Not sure if this is possible.

Great Anti-Spyware Tool
Pros: Spy sweeper, IMHO, is the best anti-spyware out there. It has a very cool interface.
I found that it has excellent detection of all spyware and it even detects some of the little know spys out there. The software is constantly updating and it has won lots if awards.I'm particularly pleased with the real-time protection - it works like a charm and isn't too obtrusive. I rate this software as a must have. The user reviews here really helped me decide. Go get it, be safe online.
Cons: Scanning takes a little longer than I'd like, but I guess it has to be that long to be thorough.

Does what it should and then gives more!
Pros: How long will this go on?!?!? Why do hackers and crackers insist on invading people's privacy? I guess we'll have to continue to was time and resources to protect against this crap. Anyway, I'm a little miffed about this stuff. The best solution I've found is Spy Sweeper. I've spent many hours of my precious time reviewing the anti-spyware tools and Webroot has really figured it out. They win - no contest. Why? Ease of use. Completeness, and reliability. I don't have time to waste making sure my anti-spyware and virus protection are up to date. Webroot's process of udates and software improvements gives me the confidence I need. 'Nuf said.

A great software for spyware removal
Pros: I've been a user for the last 2 years (Spysweeper). I can not say enough about this great product. If a tool isn't easy to use, I get rid of it pretty quickly. Spysweeper passed my filter. It's very easy to use and it quick scans your system (compared to the others I've tried). And the customer support is superb. You won't regret buying spysweeper

Webroot's Spy Sweeper version 5 - the best antispyware I know of
Pros: What I like best is the speed of version 5. I like the new interface too! Helps me explain things to my mom better ;o)
I had to take a few steps to get the best performance, but I got it running in no time. I like the throttling capability.

Good stuffs!
Pros: Hands down, the newest version of Webroot is the best, by far. I haven't noticed any increased resource problems, but the really cool thing is that you can turn the resource usage down. Very cool! Plays well with my Zone Alarm firmwall and Anti-virus programs. I wouldn't use anything else??

Exceptionally Good. Finally, a spyware product I can understand.
Pros:Great tool, relatively cheap. Free tools out there only scan or miss some adware/spyware. This is the one to buy in my opinion. Takes care of everything.

Be aware that the trial only identifies not cleans
Pros: As others have said, the trial only flags problems, you still need to purchase the program to remove spyware. It's worth it!

Pretty good. Still not perfect, but what is?
Pros:I finally upgraded from Spy Sweeper 4.5 to 5.0 - without any issues, I must add - it was a snap. The first thing I noticed with the new version is how much faster the scans are. You also get more shields (to be expected from an upgrade). I highly recommend the software (webroot, you can pay me my standard fee now ;o). Just kidding, I can really recommend this tool to everyone.
Cons: None that I can really think of right now.

I likee very much. Price is very much worth the headache of spyware.
Pros: Very straight forward to use. Updating the spyware definitions is very easy and quick - this is a must for me. I don't want to waste my time with things like this.
Cons: Uses a fair amount of resources. I guess it's necessary to do a complete job. But I run the scans while doing something else.

Greatest tool for this stuff.
Pros: I've had the software for 2 weeks. Spy sweeper is a really good software with many features better than the competition. I like the start up features and how you can manages add ons.
Cons:spysweeper missed something that another program caught, but I think it was one of those gray areas where on software may flag it and another may not. Incidentally, spysweeper caught 7 threats that the other program didn't.

100% VERY COOL
Pros: This sucker scans your whole PC pretty fast! It found lots of hidden components. It deletes files in a way that doesn't worry me (i.e. are my good files going to be erased? Not with this tool).

Probably one of my favorite spyware removal programs
Pros: This program is very easy to use, it has a high spyware detection rate. I'd say that it's one of the better products that you have to pay for. Free stuff doesn't do as good a job - I've tested them all. I finally got frustrated and did the research. Webroot seemed to come off as the best for the money. I agree.

Can even remove Con Hook Trojan!
Pros: My PC got infected with the ConHook Trojan. I had Spyware Doctor on my PC but it could not remove ConHook, nor could Norton Anti-Spyware. A friend recommended SpySweeper to me so I bought it and BOOM! it wiped out ConHook no problem. In fact it found 3 other pieces of Spyware that Spyware Doctor had missed! This is the best anti-Spyware product on the market without question!

Pros: Gets all the spyware,adware and has real time protection.
Cons: You have to pay to actually remove the spyware, but I guess it's worth it. The free tools don't get as much stuff I've been told.

A really good friend to me.
Pros: Whoah!! I think this is a real breakthru. It's very simple to understand and extremely user friendly. I've been so frustrated with these types of tools in the past because they seem like they were written for computer programmers and not regular consumers like me. But Webroot got it right this time. I feel much safer, because I can understand the tools I'm using to stay safe online.

3 Stars - No way, I give it 5
Pros: Check this out: I have Ewido Anti-Spyware and Ad-Aware SE on my system and they both missed 3 fairly bad threats. Spy Sweeper 5 found them! Woohoo! One of them was a keylogger (YIKES!). Spy Sweeper came through while the others 2 were sleeping. How can I give Spy Sweeper 10 stars? It definitely deserves it.
Cons: I would have tried Spy Sweeper sooner if CNET.com hadn't rated it with only 3 stars. What are they smoking over there?

Great spyware protection - get it!
Pros: Spy Sweeper has all of the filters that you need to get rid of most of the spy/adware you get from internet surfing.
Cons: A scan takes a while. I guess I have a very large system with lots of files. I'd like to see what Spy Sweeper does compared to other tools.

Pros: Hello all. I upgraded to the latest version today. The interface is much simpler and easier to use and navigate. Great protection still provided. I haven't noticed any system performance issues like I've heard some folks talk about. Spybot is a great free anti-spyware tool, however, paying just a little bit for spy sweeper gives you more power to protect your system. I oversee the information systems at my company and I highly recommend spy sweeper.
Cons: Spysweeper should allow for larger hosts file monitoring.

Pros: I use several applications including Ad-Aware and SpyBot S&D among others. While they all do the trick, Spy Sweeper always finds nasty stuff that the others miss.

Don't bother with anything else, nothing beats spy sweeper.
Pros: This new version (5.0) if much faster than prior versions. It definitely has a shorter scanning time. I've tried several, but keep coming back to Spy Sweeper, guess I need to stop trying to find a free tool (none of them do all that needs to be done, but Spy Sweeper does). It also has real time protection, a must when you have a wife and kids that download games and quizzes all day (aarrrghh). This tool finds keyloogers, rootkits, and trojans, and lots of other stuff that I didn't know existed. Spysweeper has about 15 shields that protect my pc constantly. I've basically given up on trying to convince my family to stop downloading all that crap. Now I feel safter....I just hope the Webroot guys keep up with the hackers and crackers. You should buy this software.

New version rocks. Much easier to use.
Pros: IMO Spysweeper is very good. People have been complaining about the interface, but I really like it. It's not as busy as before. I like the newer shields like the keylogger shield and a much needed improved rootkit detection. I really like the function to modify your CPU usage before and during a scan. What an excellent idea - why don't other programs do this?
Many people have said that the new version eats tons of memory. I haven't had noticeable problem since I installed version 5. And I have 512 MB memory. You'd think I would have noticed a problem - but no.

If I had more cash, I would buy this software.
Pros: A great tool! It definitely works. I noticed that this tool even found things that Spybot S&D missed. The only issue is that you have to pay money, and money I do not have. Spybot works fine for me, but if I had some more money I'd get Webroot cuz it definitely found more spyware and adware that I didn't know I had on my machine.
Cons: None. As mentioned, I was impressed.

Reliable. Works in the background nicely.
Pros: Where do I begin? I just had a heck of a week. I came home to find that my sister had downloaded several games on my computer. Well, long story short, my system had 2 viruses and so many adware/spyware programs that I stopped counting.
A friend of mine recommended Spy Sweeper with Antivirus. Wow! I was back in business within a few hours. I had to reinstall a few of my programs but I was fine with that as long as I could get all of the crap off of my system. Spysweeper did it!
Cons: Their marketing could be better...if I knew about spy sweeper before, I wouldn't have had these issues ;o)

IMHO - This is the best out there
Pros:This tool is fast and I only have 512 RAM, but it doesn't slow down my system. I want to report that I have used spy sweeper for quite a while in addition to adaware and symnantic...I think webroot is the best tool out there for this, it is worth the $30 price.
don't use mcafee...it's worthless!
spysweeper is fast on my machine. it's cool because it runs in the background and protects you computer constantly without you knowing it. This tool has removed and prevented spyware on my computer many times in the several months I've been using it.
Cons: User updates could come more frequently. Support isn't the best...it's not horrible just a little slow sometimes.
